OVERVIEW As part of a masterclass collaboration between Carhartt and Pensole Lewis College, I was tasked as an Apparel Design Apprentice in developing a conceptual uniform to support the next generation of hardworking consumers.

OBJECTIVE Our mission brief was to design a collection of apparel and footwear products dedicated to solving the needs within an underrated career field. I was supported with the help of my team and footwear designers: Isaiah Lee and Tre Fleming.

APPROACH Bush Piloting involves flying into rugged, or "bush," terrain to deliver supplies to remote locations. Flying is often done in harsh weather conditions and requires landing on unprepared runway strips. In order to meet the needs of such pilots, I researched everyday activities and problems and came up with apparel-geared solutions to those needs.
